Tailored for motorists. The HVK Central Hotel Desk ("CHD") has identified several hotels in the Ladakh Circuit &  across India, mainly in the highways, with whom it has made arrangements to book hotel rooms for the subscribers of this product. In many instances, the hotels extend price privileges. Typically, the CHD helps select hotels for the subscribers on the spot, but in certain circumstances, it may suggest that bookings be done in advance also.

Although the CHD has identified Hotels in all major destinations in India & popular travel circuits, especially on the highways of India, you are advised to check locations before you travel. 

The selected hotels you stay in are hotels the members of the HVK Forum & HiVayKing Club have stayed in – none of them are picked out of any directory, these are hotels reviewed by us during our own visits. In most destinations, the CHD cannot give you multiple choices of hotels, and will not disclose the names of the hotels till you confirm their booking. Hotels have been chosen because they meet a set of criteria and are found to be suitable for most of our members, but they may not suit all needs, hence you are advised to check beforehand on any specific requirements that you may have.

No, you cannot walk in & claim the rooms, the booking has to be made only through the CHD. Your Route Plan will have to be vetted by the CHD prior to initiating the hotel booking process. You are advised to seek the CHD's concurrence to your route plan & drive plan, and also subscribe to the paid route maps in the HVK App RoutO. You have to strictly comply with the requirements spelt out here, and non-compliance thereof will result in denial of any support by the CHD. While there is a reasonable probability that your room will be available, based on our counsel & prudent judgement, there can be no assurance on actually getting it.

When you Travel, We Travel with you – that is the mission in the HVK Forum. The CHD will be happy to help you during your drive, but these are purely out of the sense of belonging to the same community of motorists and not by any financial or commercial commitment. The CHD is headed by H V Kumar and does not have a organisation behind it, it is run entirely by H V Kumar with the help of volunteers who are devoting some of their personal & professional time to helping other motorists. While we will attempt to help you on a "best efforts basis", we cannot give you any assurances on quality of service and we have no proprietary interest or control over the hotels that we help arrange rooms in. The fee that is being charged is purely to defray expenses and filter out frivolous request and is neither representative of the cost of the support given to you nor suitable remuneration for any of the expertise and/ or tasks rendered.

During the course of facilitating hotel rooms, H V Kumar and the entire Central Hotel Desk team is helping you at your specific request and he/ they is/ are allowed to call, text or communicate with you on mail, telephone and any other electronic or digital media, and the information that he/ they provide(s) to you is entirely voluntary and you may or may not use it at your discretion and after exercising due diligence. Neither H V Kumar nor the members of the Central Hotel Desk is/ are telemarketer or soliciting any product or service

Please do not call any person directly whom you think is a "volunteer". Please contact the CHD only as instructed here or in  any communications to you. 

The strength & uniqueness of this product is the spirit & strength of collaboration, and that is how we are also designing products or services. We are not an organisation - the volunteers who run the CHD do it out of passion & not for significant personal gain or remuneration.

The domain expertise of those offering this product for sale here is motoring & not running online portals or acting as agents for hotels or as tour operators. It is run by a single person, and not backed by helplines, call centres, automated mail responders or bots. Therefore, please do not expect instant responses or valet behaviour. There may be unnotified delays from time to time and we cannot be accountable therefor. Please strictly follow the guidelines given to you for use of this product here & in other communications to you by CHD from time to time. We are not responsible for any misunderstanding about what this product offers, and whilst we give you suitable advisories regarding the hotels and your trip, we take no responsibility for the manner in which you conduct your trip and adverse circumstances that you may face. 

 

The mode of operation of the CHD is, inter alia, listed below:

 

  1. Subscribe to the product here
  2. Email your route & drive plan before the trip, ideally 7 - 10 days prior to starting the trip
  3. Connect with 9821045167 on Whats App, after sending email and receiving affirmations therefor.
  4. Please ensure that your mobile phones will work through the route and have Whats App enabled in them. Whats App will be the primary mode of communications, and other secondary modes of communications will be at the discretion of, and based on availability of resources with the CHD.
  5. You will stick to the agreed route and drive plan
  6. You will keep us informed from time to time during the day of your location
  7. Room will be booked on the spot based on your ability to reach your destination. Rooms will not be booked in advance because of the uncertainties of reaching your destination. Names and booking details will be shared with you at that time. Names of hotels will not be shared prior to booking confirmation by you.
  8. Most Hotels are typically priced in the range of Rs 1750 – 2500 (for 2 pax, per day, per room, without food), and most of them have clean toilets, car parking, etc. Do not expect credit card facility, payment will be in cash over the counter in many cases. We cannot give you a choice of hotels. However, you may please note that prices of hotel rooms are subject to change form time time, based on availability, category & dates & days of your travel.
  9. Once your destination is fixed, room will be booked 1-3 hours prior to your arrival
  10. Details of the booking will be given to you in the Whats App Group. Hotels are under no obligation to hold on to the booking. Hence, bookings are normally made only in the last minute. You are advised to contact the hotel once booking details are given to you.
  11. Wherever there are expected to be data connectivity problems, we may, at our discretion, communicate with you through any other feasible mode of communications, but the responsibility for establishing voice/ data connectivity will be yours. 
  12. Please note that CHD takes its last hotel booking at 930 pm. Under no circumstances will any check in be scheduled beyond 1030 pm
  13. No-Show is the biggest sin. Once the rooms are booked, you have an obligation to check into the hotel that you are booked at. In the event of No-Show by you, our Central Hotel Desk services is liable to be withdrawn
